hancock park!

This is an amazingly late update, I know. I was neglecting the blog (I’m being honest) due to work and such. A lot of crazy personal stuff has been happening lately, and that has been affecting my updating game also. Let me do a quick recap of everything I passed through the past week!

As you all know, last Wednesday was the Lakers parade in celebration of their recent 2009 NBA finals win. This was the result of that:


It was crowded like that for a while, and it was really frustrating. But it also amazed me because I have never seen that many Lakers fans altogether, although I’m sure more than enough of them were bandwagoners. It’s funny how these type of events bring people together for a few hours.

Collective Skate

I usually don’t wake around my city, choosing to either pedal on my single-speed or grace the Metro with my presence instead, but I’m glad I chose to parade around Koreatown and MacArthur park with my feet clad in Converse Chuck Taylors. After being lazy and eating most of the food at my bestfriend Noah’s house, I got dropped off at the subway station on Wilshire and Western to meet up with my bestie Gee. Still dressed in his fancy work clothes (a button-up plaid shirt, dress pants and dress shoes), he got us some Jamba Juice. Fueled by 24oz of fruit smoothies, we decided to walk to Pinkberry on 6th and Catalina so that I could possibly get a job (hey, it’s the easiest thing next to coffee shops). After that, I just said “Fuck it, let’s go to the park.”

Which park? Why, MacArthur Park, of course!

On our way down 6th street, Gee noticed the interior of a store not too far from LaFayette Park.
