Welcome to The Urban Decadence!
Originally, The Urban Decadence was to be a brand of LA’s streetwear to match the ever-growing street culture of the city. Founder Hannah Renee quickly abandoned the notion once she saw that her crew had no initiative, or interest, in pushing the brand as much as she wanted, and the fact that starting your own line of apparel was the “hype” quickly turned her off to it. A year would pass before she thought of making it a household blog name with a new crew! The Urban Decadence is made up of a total of four authors who specializes in the different categories (and genres) of art.
Hannah Renee & Jhair Lazo focuses on the hip-hop aspect of music (Hannah Renee’s main focus is hip-hop, but she is very versatile with her outreach). Derek Portea focuses on the indie-rock, and Tony Q focuses on the artists.
Check out the Bio link to read up on the people behind The Urban Decadence in a bit more detail.
The Urban Decadence is a place where talented, yet underappreciated and overlooked, underground artists are interviewed, supported, and placed where the whole world can see. We aim to expand everyone’s music libraries, wall art, and appreciation one artist at a time; all you need to do is read.
Special thanks to Sahtyre from the Swim Team for pushing Hannah Renee into starting the long-dormant idea.
